Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (Bangla: আহসানউল্লাহ্ বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) (AUST) is a private technical university located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The university was founded by the Dhaka Ahsania Mission in 1995. Dhaka Ahsania Mission is a non-profit voluntary organization in Bangladesh. The Mission was established in 1958 by [Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah]It maintains close collaboration with the International Association of Universities (IAU), University Grants Commission (UGC), Bangladesh and many other national and international educational institutions and professional bodies.[citation needed]
In 2008, Webometrics ranked this university 1st among Private Universities, 3rd in Bangladesh and 77th in the Indian subcontinent in their World Universities Ranking[1] based on electronic publication, scientific results and international activities[2].
